Aremco is an independent British company offering a range of cost effective and economical traffic and pedestrian access control products, for both the domestic and commercial markets. The company provides quality engineering and development solutions for swing gates, barrier systems, parking restrictive equipment and control of pedestrian access.
The range of products have been designed for a variety of purposes and can be adapted to meet specific requirements. The categories of pedestrians and vehicles that qualify for access are determined by the objectives of the scheme. Similarly, the time duration of the restriction should also be chosen to meet the scheme requirements.
Supplier of Advanced Parking Control Systems
Parking systems can be implemented in any situation where allocated parking applies, our range of products include mild steel barriers and mild steel bollards which prevent use of parking spaces unless access is provided.
Another aspect to consider in some instances is that of speeding, one effective controlling method is that of the speed bump, this being supported by warning signs as appropriate.
Manufactured from mild steel, vehicle barriers are becoming more widely used, particularly where vehicle access and unauthorised parking is a problem. Aremco can provide a range of reliable and resilient barriers suitable for both heavy duty car parks and more economical systems for smaller sites such as private driveways.
Steel bollards are used to inhibit access and parking, increase pedestrian safety and also therefore improve security.
Access control solutions for security and safety should benefit pedestrians, the vehicle owner and the car park operator/owner. This is basically any physical presence restricting entry or exit to or from an area. This may be in the form of Steel Bollards, Steel Posts, Steel Barriers, Steel Gates, Metal Crash Barrier or Security Fencing, all of which come with fully detailed installation instructions
Our access control gates and barriers provide means to control traffic flow whether it is vehicles or pedestrians, allowing ease of access from our range of products. Traffic access control is becoming more and more important in everyday security with our products designed to protect leave vehicles in a safe and secure environment.
Controlling Access by People as well as Vehicles
When looking to control traffic access to a site it is also necessary to consider the pedestrians. The implications of unauthorised people can have consequences equal in impact to those of unauthorised traffic access, there it is important to also consider all perimeter barriers like railings too.
You can safeguard wandering pedestrians by completely excluding traffic from areas by the use of Steel Bollards, Steel Posts, Steel Barriers, Steel Gates or Metal Crash Barriers, warning signs / signage being useful where full exclusion cannot be achieved.
Work is undertaken following guidelines according to accreditations ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001, full support being provided as required.
Metal Crash Barriers or Safety Fencing systems
These types of low impact vehicle crash barrier systems are available in two types, Armco Untensioned Safety Fencing and Sectional Steel, both are corrugated. For protection, either type is ideal for installing around car parks, on forecourts, around external buildings, inside industrial warehousing complexes and also around school playing fields or any other low impact outdoor applications, where there is very little or no traffic. They can also be used as a demarcation of an area. Both types of barrier offer build in or floor mounted posts along with end terminations which are pedestrian friendly. These barriers are not tested, so are therefore unsuitable for highway applications. These Barriers and Posts are galvanised, unlike some inferior products that are on the market, making the finish longer lasting.
These provide access control and security to car parks that need to be restricted from vehicles such as lorries, heavy-duty vehicles and caravans. They are a simple and cost effective way of preventing access to selected areas, as it makes it impossible for a vehicle that exceeds the maximum height limit to enter, and fencing is either not necessary or cost effective. This still allows easy access for pedestrians. The Swinging Height Barrier is closed in the centre by means of a shootbolt and padlock, and is ideal for allowing access to emergency vehicles, delivery vehicles or refuse collections. The shootbolt easily replaced. These Barriers are manufactured from mild steel and all come as build in versions, which we highly recommend for sturdiness, floor mounted versions are also available at extra cost. Many colours are available (at no extra cost), as are heights and widths.
Metal Rising Arm Barriers or Counterbalance Gates
These are manually operated and ideal for restricting access to car parks by unwanted traffic and pedestrians. If traffic flow is high accessing a specified area, this may be the best product to control traffic both in and out. They are also suitable for warehouse protection, building security, distribution centres and retail depots, where fencing or an automatic version is either not necessary or cost effective. They are easily raised or lowered with the aid of a counterbalance weight and are closed by means of a padlock. These Barriers are manufactured from mild steel and all come as build in versions, which we highly recommend for sturdiness, floor mounted versions are also available at extra cost. Many colours are available (at no extra cost), as are lengths.
These are a low cost but effective solution to a wide variety of parking, road access and traffic management requirements. They are ideal for locations or situations where a fully automatic barrier, gate entry system or fencing is either not necessary or cost effective. They are a simple but effective means of security and are closed by means of a padlock. These Gates are manufactured from mild steel and all come as build in versions, which we highly recommend for sturdiness, floor mounted versions are also available at extra cost. Many colours are available (at no extra cost), as are lengths.
Metal Removable Bollards these can be used to prevent un-authorised entry of vehicles and restrict access to private driveways, forecourts, car parks, town centres, supermarkets and garages, but still give pedestrians access. These bollards are much more ascetically pleasing than cones and are heavy duty, locating into a socket embedded into concrete and are low maintenance.
These can be used as a means of security to restrict access for a variety of applications, garage forecourts, private driveways and car parks, whilst still allowing pedestrian access. Telescopic Bollards can also be used in front of roller shutter doors, thus deterring any would be thieves. They can also be used for domestic applications. They easily retract into the ground when not in use and are manually raised into its protecting position. The telescopic posts provide a durable, robust means of access control. The Anti Ram version is extra rigid and are designed to stop a vehicle in its tracks and can be used in situations where extra security is required such as in front of store fronts, shops, cash machines and retails parks. These Telescopic Posts are galvanised, unlike some inferior products that our on the market, making the finish longer lasting.
Fold Down / Collapsible Parking Posts
Fold Down / Collapsible Parking Posts are ideal for securing private driveways, car parking spaces or other similar locations where a non-removable post is required to allow access, and are ideal for domestic situations. The fold down post (which are level with the ground when not in use) can also be used as a visual deterrent to restrict access into private or commercial driveways. The Key Operated Post features an inbuilt British locking mechanism enabling easy use of this post and low maintenance. Many colours and finishes are available. Fold down or collapsible driveway security posts come with either an integral lock or are padlock to secure in place and give them security when in the upright position. They can also be padlocked in the down position when not in use to stop theft of the post. These type of security posts must be manually lowered down when access is required with a vehicle. There will be a trip hazard when laid down, but as they are usually bright in colour they should be clearly visible. Collapsible or Fold Down security posts are fixed to the ground by bolts, or by fixing the post to a base and then concreting into the ground.
